According to a recent article published by the Financial Times, representatives for The Beatles are currently in talks with both Mtv Games and Activision with the goal of bringing the Fab Four’s vast catalog of music to video game industry.

The deal, speculated to be worth several millions, could be reached within a matter of weeks as long as it gets the approval from both Apple Corps (no, not Steve Jobs) and EMI.  I would imagine that either company would love to get this all squared away before E3, in order to make the HUGE announcement.

 Wheter this means the that The Beatles will be in Rock Band, Guitar Hero, both or none is still to be seen.  Either way, it’s still great news to see that The Beatles catalog is getting closer to being used for more commercial purposes and hopefully available on the digital front real soon.
