The release for the Wii, PS2, and PS3 is scheduled for August 29th as opposed to the 360′s release date of May 23rd. When EA announced the European release date for the Xbox 360 version they mentioned that the PS2, PS3, and Wii versions would be released “later in the Summer”, however, it now appears that they actually meant “the end of Summer”. The Nyko FrontMan PS3 wireless guitar, announced at CES 2008, seems like it could be the answer to many PS3 Rock Band and Guitar Hero players prayers by officially supporting both Rock Band and GH III on the Playstation 3.
Originally scheduled to be released in March, with dates ranging from March 17th at Gamestop to March 25th at Amazon
Hopefully it’s only a small delay so PS3 players can finally start to play with a full Rock Band band and also play some local multiplayer Guitar Hero with only having to purchase one additional guitar instead of two.
UPDATE: It now appears that GameStop has made the delay even greater by changing the release date to 05/12/2008
